- What are cookies and how do we use them?
2.1 Cookies are small text files sent from a web server to your browser whenever you visit Giraffe360 Platforms. Cookies pose no risk to your device and can either be saved or rejected, depending on your browser settings and your choices.
2.2 Cookies can be divided into two main groups, such as first party cookies and third-party cookies. First party cookies come from us and send information only to us. Third-party cookies are placed by third parties on our site and send information to such third parties that recognize the relevant cookie.
2.3 We use two types of cookies, depending on their purpose – necessary cookies and optional cookies. The necessary cookies are required to ensure that Giraffe360 Platforms operate properly and you may receive our service. They are mandatory and for this type of cookie we are not collecting your consent. For optional cookies such as Preference, Functionality, Analytical and Advertising cookies we collect your consent at the pop-up window screen (Cookie Banner) when you first visit Giraffe360 Platforms.
- What type of cookies do we use, for what purpose and for how long?
3.1 On our Website we use the following types of cookies:
(a) Strictly Necessary cookies. These cookies are required for the operation and security of our Website. They allow us to maintain server sessions, protect the Website against malicious activity and save your cookie preferences.
(b) Functionality cookies. These cookies support additional Website features and allow those features to operate according to your interactions with the Website, such as by remembering page-view and session counts used to control the display of pop-ups.
(c) Preference cookies. These are first party cookies which store your language preferences from previous visits for simplified and more convenient use of our Website.
(d) Analytical (third party) cookies. These cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how you move around our Website when you are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Website works, for example, by ensuring that you are finding what you are looking for easily. We use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics to help us measure traffic and usage trends and understand how visitors interact with our Website. You can learn more about Google’s practices at their Privacy Policy, and view its currently available opt-out options.
(e) Advertising (third party) cookies. We use advertising technologies provided by Google Ads and LinkedIn to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and provide you with advertisements that may be relevant to your interests across their respective platforms and other websites and digital services. You can learn more about interest-based advertising in Section 6.
3.2 In our Virtual Tours, we use the following type of cookies:
(a) Strictly necessary cookies. These are first party cookies which allow us to save your cookie choices and preferences.
(b) Analytical cookies. These are first-party cookies which may be used, with your consent, to enable analytics functionality and provide our clients with aggregated information about Virtual Tour traffic. This may include the total number of views of each Virtual Tour and statistics concerning device types, traffic channels, referring or embedding websites and visitors’ approximate countries. Reports made available to our clients do not identify individual visitors or show their individual activity within a Virtual Tour.
(c) Preference cookies. These are first party cookies which store your language preferences from previous visits to make multilingual Virtual Tours easier and more convenient to use.
3.3 In our Property Website page, we use the following type of cookies:
(a) Strictly Necessary cookies. These are first party cookies which allow us to save your cookie preferences.
(b) Preference cookies. These cookies remember choices you make, such as your selected language or whether you have minimised a survey, to provide a more convenient experience on the Property Website.
(c) Analytical cookies. These are first-party cookies and similar technologies set through analytics services provided by Hotjar and Google Analytics. Hotjar helps us understand how visitors interact with the Property Website, including through session recordings, heatmaps and information about clicks, scrolling and navigation. We use this information for troubleshooting, usability testing and improving new and existing features. You can find more information about Hotjar’s privacy practices in their Privacy Policy. Google Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our Property Website by collecting information about traffic, interactions and performance. Reports generated using this information are generally aggregated and help us improve the functionality and user experience of the Property Website. You can learn more about Google’s practices at their Privacy Policy, and view its currently available opt-out options.
3.4 In the Dashboard, we use the following type of cookies:
(a) Strictly Necessary cookies. These cookies are necessary for the operation and security of our Dashboard and are placed on your device as soon as you access it or when you request a relevant service. They support functions such as authenticating users, maintaining and renewing sessions, protecting accounts, recording login activity and storing cookie preferences. These cookies may contain authentication tokens and session, device or account-related identifiers. They remain on your device for the periods specified in the annex below, unless deleted earlier.
(b) Functionality cookies. These are first-party cookies set through Usetiful which enable interactive product tours and onboarding features within the Dashboard. They allow us to remember your progress, avoid repeating tours you have already completed and provide relevant guidance across pages and return visits.
(c) Analytical cookies. These are first-party cookies and similar technologies set through analytics services provided by Hotjar and Mixpanel. They help us understand how users navigate and interact with our Dashboard, including through session recordings and information about clicks, scrolling, navigation and use of Dashboard features. These cookies use pseudonymous identifiers but do not directly identify you by name.
3.6 In our 3D Floor Plans, we use Strictly Necessary Cookies.
3.7 Please see the annex for more information about the cookies we use.

You can give consent to all optional cookies by clicking the “Accept” button. Similarly, you can reject all optional cookies by selecting “Reject”. You may also customize your preferences under “Customise” and choose to accept only certain Optional cookies. To find more information on how you can integrate our tours without analytical cookies, please check our Virtual Tour Integration article in the Help Center.
4.3 Consent withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Your consent is not required for the Necessary cookies. Please note that choices you make in Cookie Banners will be considered as your consent to the cookies and other similar technologies.
4.4 You can update your cookie preferences for the Website at the bottom of this Notice. In the 3D Floor Plans you will find a cookie icon on the bottom-left corner of the footer. Please note that deleting or blocking cookies may not be effective for all types of tracking technologies, such as Local Storage Objects (LSOs) like HTML5.
4.5 Browser settings. You can manage your cookies on a browser level. Most browsers will also allow you to control how cookies are used through your browser settings. Please note that if you choose to refuse all cookies you may not be able to use the full functionality of Giraffe360 Platforms. Please note that you can delete already accepted cookies at a browser level at any time. In such a way you can withdraw your already given consent at a browser level.
- Tracking technologies used in our emails
5.1 Our emails may contain tracking pixels that identify if and when you have opened an email that we have sent you, how many times you have read it and whether you have clicked on any links in that email. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our marketing email campaigns, make the emails we send to you more relevant to your interests and to understand if you have opened and read any important administrative emails we might send you.
5.2 Most popular email clients will allow you to block these pixels by disabling certain external images in emails. You can do this through the settings on your email client – these generally give you the option of choosing whether emails will display “remote images”, “remote content” or “images” by default.
5.3 Some browsers also give you the option of downloading and installing extensions that block pixels and other tracking technologies.
- How do we use Interest Based Advertising on our Website?
6.1 We participate in interest-based advertising and use third party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements based on your browsing history and use of our Website. We may share, or we may permit third party online advertising networks, social media companies and other third party services to collect information about your use of our Website over time so that they may play or display ads of our products or services, on other websites, apps or services you may use, and on other devices you may use.
6.2 Typically, but not always, this information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies. These third parties may collect mobile identifiers, such as the ID for Advertising for iOS (IDFA), Google Advertising ID, as well as your device’s IP address, information about other applications on your device, your location, information about your use of our Website and information about which adverts you have seen or clicked on.
6.3 We and our third party partners use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.
6.4 We may also use certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Universal Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These features enable us to use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third party cookies (such as the DoubleClick advertising cookie) or other third party cookies together to inform, optimise, and display ads based on your past visits to our Website. You may control your advertising preferences or opt out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by visiting NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
6.5 We and our third party partners may also link your various devices so that content you see on one device can result in relevant advertising on another device. We do this by collecting information about each device you use when you use our Website. We may also work with third party partners who employ tracking technologies, or the application of statistical modelling tools, to determine if two or more devices are linked to a single user or household. We may share a common account identifier (such as user ID) with third party advertising partners to help recognise you across devices. We and our partners can use this cross-device linkage to serve interest-based advertising and other personalised content to you across your devices, to perform analytics and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
6.6 You may be able to limit the use of these identifiers for interest-based advertising on a particular device through the settings on your device by selecting “limit ad tracking” (iOS) or “opt out of interest-based ads” (Android). You may also be able to opt out of some, but not all, interest-based ads served by mobile ad networks by visiting http://youradchoices.com/appchoices and downloading the mobile AppChoices app.
6.7 To learn more about interest-based advertising and how you may be able to opt out of some of this advertising, you may wish to visit:
(a) the Network Advertising Initiative’s online resources, at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices;
(b) the DAA’s resources at www.aboutads.info/choices; and/or
(c) Your Online Choices at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
6.8 Please note that opting out of receiving interest-based advertising through the NAI’s and DAA’s or Your Online Choices online resources will only opt you out from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but you may still receive interest-based ads on your other devices. You would need to perform the opt out on each browser or device you use.
6.9 Some of these opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies. If you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or devices, or use another operating system, you will need to opt out again.
6.10 Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see advertising on your device – it just means that adverts may no longer be tailored to your interests.
